"Summertime. It was a song. It was a season. I wondered if that season would ever live inside of me." — Benjamin Alire Sáenz, Last Night I Sang to the Monster

Today, we will share with you some meditation tips for beginners to take a break from everyday life.

– 7 Meditation Tips for Beginners!! –

1. Let's find a space for meditation!

We can meditate wherever you prefer! There is no specific space we need to meditate ourselves. Just place yourself wherever you feel comfortable and can relax.

2. Find a time you want to meditate

You can meditate whenever you want to. There is no need to push yourself for mediation.

3. Try to make a space comfortable

Did you know we can use a blanket and other stuff to make a meditation time and space more comfortable? However, we recommend you to not bring snacks and phones to meditation. Just try to focus on resting your body.

4. Breathe deeply, and feel your body system

We can breathe deeply so that we can recognize that our body and our mind is one. You can regulate your breath to relax your body and mind simultaneously.

5. It is okay to not be able to empty your mind

We sometimes put pressure on us to not think about anything while we are meditating. We are humans. We always think about something like today's lunch, new trend on TikTok, etc. However, we may try to ignore them. Just let your thought come and go naturally. Don't focus on them.

6. Focus on your body and mind

Just try to focus on breathing and try to relax. Your meditation is for you, not for anyone else. Breathe slowly and deeply. You can control your body and your mind. You can control yourself.

7. Feel fresh enough? Let's make this a routine!!

Now you know the basics of meditation! You can practice meditation anytime you want such as before breakfast, after lunch, or maybe before going to sleep. If you do not like the method we just introduced, you can always find other means from websites provided by specialists, from video streaming services such as YouTube and Netflix, or even from books as well! Just do not assume you are not capable of practicing meditation. We all have preferences and we do not need to follow one single method. Meditation is relaxation, refreshment, and fun!! So, "Let's meditate!"

"Feelings come and go like clouds in a windy sky. Conscious breathing is my anchor." — Thich Nhat Hahn
